What is coordIA?

Young people in NYC care about community, but at work it's hard to coordinate fun events, especially in a hybrid environment. Enter CoordIA, an AI-powered Slack applet that helps hybrid workers build a community at the office. With smart suggestions tailored to each team, coordIA helps anyone in the office plan the next adventure. CoordIA automatically tracks who's in the office and learns what you find fun, so it helps you plan the best event for your team. With seamless integration into existing infrastructure, hybrid workers can spend less time deliberating and more time building community with each other.

What was this project for?

coordIA is the result of a semester-long project for Human Centered Design and Innovation, a class at Columbia. The project was meant to tackle a problem facing New York's workers, so our team of four designed coordIA. The members of the team were Benjamin Magid, Sophie Sebuh, Yuchen (Cecilia) Wang, and Kashaf Jabbar.
